Good To Know

Your First Visit

Everyone is welcome at NWOC.

We are an open, accessible and inclusive practice that will treat you with empathy, tact and care. You will never feel rushed. We provide you with ample time, care and advice so we can work together with you to reach your optimal level of health and wellbeing. We’re also pleased to provide you with an option of entrance via ramp (wheelchair accessible) as well as accessible bathroom/toilet facilities.

When you visit us for the first time, you’ll be asked to complete a simple personal information form. This form is in English. If you feel you may require a translation, please contact us ahead of time.

When our practitioner comes out to meet you, you’ll be taken in to the consultation room where they’ll ask you about and make notes on your history.

Many of our modality and treatment options involve ‘hands-on’ approaches to treatment. This approach is used to perform a comprehensive examination using a standard medical approach to diagnose your condition. If you don’t feel comfortable receiving this treatment in a particular area, that’s no problem at all. Just let us know.

We’ll also provide you with advice to assist in the ongoing management of your condition. This might include strengthening and conditioning exercises, ergonomic advice and suggestions for more effective management of your personal lifestyle.

If you have any questions ahead of your visit, please feel free to contact our friendly reception staff.
